About re-mortgaging

Re-mortgaging is where you take out a brand new mortgage with a new mortgage provider to repay the existing mortgage on the property and effectively replace it. Our team has the knowledge and expertise required to take you through the process quickly and smoothly. Whether you are looking for a better deal, to borrow more money or because your circumstances have changed, we can help you find the most suitable option.

We are available to discuss your concerns or questions at any stage during the process.

Our team offer a high standard of service, making the legal process less stressful and easier to understand. We promise:

  • Regular communication
  • Continuity of service - you will deal with the same professional throughout
  • No call centres

We are completely mindful that you are dealing with what is probably your biggest investment, and ensure we are on hand every step of the way to provide assistance.

Our Fees

Our fees for arranging a re-mortgage will be between £400 and £500.

The figures vary depending on the circumstances of the case.  That is why we will always give you an individual cost estimate at the start of the matter.

Examples of factors that could make a case more complex:

  • if legal title is defective or part of the property is unregistered
  • if you discover building regulations or planning permission has not been obtained

Disbursements

In all cases there will be disbursements. Some examples are:

  • Land Registry Documents £7.20 (inclusive of Vat)
  • Bank Transfer Fee £36.00 (inclusive of Vat)

In every case we will tell you the proposed disbursement and the cost before it is incurred.

How long will it take

The average process takes around 4 - 6 weeks
