Clough & Willis 2024 quiz raises £400 for Bury Homeless Project
Bury and Bolton based law firm Clough & Willis has raised £400 for Bury Homeless Project at its 25th annual quiz. The first quiz took place back in 1997. Bury Homeless Project is volunteer run and assists homeless and housed clients in need. It works on an outreach basis via direct referrals from social services, child services, the Probation Service, schools, medical professionals, Refuge and rough sleepers who engage with its outreach team. The project runs seven locations across Bury, Radcliffe, Ramsbottom, Prestwich and Whitefield.
The Clough & Willis 2024 Quiz took placed at Elton Vale Sports Club. Over 90 people attended with 23 teams competing from across various industries including banking, marketing, property, accounting, IT and financial services.
This year's quiz was won by I-com International who scored an impressive 45 points. Thompson Jones came second with 43 points after facing a tense tie breaker with Horsfield Smith.
Lee Marston, managing partner at Clough & Willis, said: “Every year the quiz just seems to get better and better. It’s fantastic to welcome so many of the area’s businesses and to see them having fun. Raising over £400 for Bury Homeless Project was the icing on the cake.”
Suzanne Angle, CEO and Founder at Bury Homeless Project added: “As a small, volunteer run initiative, we rely on the kindness of people so we can’t thank Clough & Willis enough for this donation as it will directly help some of the most vulnerable in our communities.”
