Clough & Willis announces private client restructure & promotions

Clough & Willis - one of the North West's leading mid-sized legal firms - has restructured its private client department including promoting Helen Webster to associate and announcing that Karen Yates - solicitor - has joined the team.

Helen joined Clough & Willis last year from Walker Morris in Leeds where she worked for five years. Her role has seen her focus on a variety of work, including: wealth and succession planning, inheritance tax advice, trust creation and administration, wills, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration. Helen's promotion to associate is with immediate effect.

The five strong private client team has been further strengthened after Karen Yates decided to widen her remit and join the department alongside her existing role as a property solicitor. Karen has been at Clough & Willis since 2005 and she is now specialising in the core private client services as well as dealing with property transactions.

Various new initiatives and bolt on products are now being planned for the department; all of which will be announced over the coming months.

Shefali Talukdar - managing partner at Clough & Willis -said; "Since Helen joined Clough & Willis, the private client department has seen a sharp upturn in work so this promotion is much deserved. She is a real asset to the business and under her guidance the team has gone from strength to strength.

Shefali concluded: Private client work is now a major part of the firm's offering and has the senior team's full backing. The aim is to now build on its successes in order to further raise its profile and grow its fee income.”
